South Africa will be represented at the prestigious Headies Award this year with Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C getting the nod for the Best African Act category. The Headies Award is Nigeria’s biggest music award.
According to Headies, the award category is “a Non-nigerian award category for an individual african artiste or group with the most outstanding achievement, impact and infiltration into the nigerian music scene in the year under review,”
Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest face tough competition from Kenyan group Sauti Sol, sexy Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and Sarkodie from Ghana who are also nominated for the same category.
