TV personality Bonang Matheba has been charged with tax fraud relating to personal and business tax. On Thursday, after she failed to appear in court over tax fraud allegations, The Johannesburg Specialised Commercialised Crimes Court showed mercy with a warrant for her arrest being benched until October 4.
Bonang’s absence at the court was reportedly because she was in the New York event on Awards. Although, there’s been arguments on whether she was summoned on or not.
The artist’s lawyers confirmed to TshisaLIVE that they served the paper with a letter of demand and that they were suing the paper for R10-million.
Despite the news going viral on Bonang’s alleged failure to submit her full tax returns, we are yet to hear a word from her.
