TKZEE group released Halloween album 20 years ago and they celebrated it with an announcement on social media.
The 90s group was formed by actor Kabelo Mabalane, musician Zwai Bala and Tokollo Tshabalala. Zwai shared a clip on Instagram from one of their hits in celebration of the 20-year anniversary.
The Halloween album was a major hit back then and it still lingers in the hearts of fans.
To celebrate the anniversary, Kabelo Mabalane’s daughter Zoe sang a track(Shibobo) from the album which will also be performed in her school.
Zwai Bala announced the news on his Instagram saying;
Halloween album dropped today, 20 years ago. Halloween included smash-hit singles like “Dlala Mapansula”, “Mambotjie” & “We Love This Place”. We are celebrating this milestone.
Zwai reposted Aisha Mohammed tweet on Instagram: “I’m honoured to work on a project that inspired a mindset of change,a group of guys who brought about hope & belief that a kid of colour could achieve their dreams,it was just 20 years ago when this was rare!Thank you TKZee,you were an integral part of my youth.”
