One of the longest debate in recent SA Hip Hop history is who is better between A-Reece and Nasty C. The two rappers are of the same age, born 5 weeks apart but took different routes regards their career. Nasty C is signed to one of the biggest music companies in Africa, if not the biggest, while A-Reece took an independent journey.
During the weekend, MTV Base released the list of the hottest MCs in South Africa and there was an uproar over the omission of A-Reece, who is definitely one of the best wordsmith in the country. Nasty C was listed 2 of 10.
Rap moguls Cassper Nyovest and Kwesta weighed in on the matter with Cassper believing Nasty C had a great year while also giving props to A-Reece for what he is doing at this present moment.
Despite the two agreeing to disagree, one thing is for sure, this debate won’t go away anytime soon.
