With the country in a state of jeopardy, Pearl Thusi has taken to social media to advertise a mobile phone for the brand Huawei.

Twitter users came for Pearl Thusi on the neck after the TV star posted about a phone instead of lending a voice to end femicide and xenophobia in South Africa.

While many South African celebrities have lend a voice against femicide, a lot of them have remained quiet over the xenophobic attacks in the country leading many to believe that their silence may be a form of solidarity with the attackers.
