Priddy Ugly has finally spilled the tea on the cause of his departure from former record label, Ambitiouz, and has declared war against the organization over a recent ugly event with his career.
The rapper has been independently pushing his career since leaving the label but was mute all this while, until all of his projects was taken down from Apple music and iTunes.
“I kept moving, picked myself up, & this year we dropped 6 music videos, 3 projects, all on our own.”
“Last week I posted Insta snaps with how well our music had been performing on line, a day later my albums start getting removed!?” He said.
However, Priddy didn’t mention the label’s name, but from all he said, its point to Ambitiouz.
Speaking about the ill treatment and disrespect gotten from the former label which he departed early last year, he said:
“I’ve genuinely been silent & trying to protect people who never cared to look out for me. I’ve kept quiet & with held information related to my departure from that other label. I actually don’t have an issue with anyone who was a staff member there, but the CEO of that label always been a bitch niggah.”
“I remember telling him I have ideas on how we can expand the creative landscape of the label, visually, via shows, marketing etc. Not only for me but for all the other artists & I was told to stay in my place & lane, I’m just an artist at the label, nothing more, & that he wasn’t there to make friends with me, & that it was all business. I treated it as business from that day onwards, & yet nothing was conducted in a professional or business related manner.”
“From funds (THOUSANDS) being with held, to never being able to reach him when needed, yet my partner who was involved in other business engagements with him, could get a response, answer, a meeting at any time it was requested or arranged. This showed me the blatant disrespect that he had for me as a man & my brand.”
“I’ve pushed on my own ever since leaving them last year April, because of ALL the BREACHES in contract from the labels end. I kept quiet, didn’t do no interviews with anyone, because he agreed to let me leave provided I don’t involve the media, run to Twitter etc. I just wanted nothing to do with them, so I didn’t even fight for the money I was rightfully owed & frauded out of.”
The rapper has drawn the battle line between himself and the ex label.
“I’m not one to discuss internal issues & situations, but this is very PERSONAL!!!! I’m not done…. I’m just letting it be known that this is WAR!!”
Check out thread of tweets Priddy Ugly shared about the albums’ issue below:
@Apple responded by stating that they were not responsible for this & that only the aggregator or label can authorize this action.
The albums are still available on our aggregators end & our record label
(The GAS) was not responsible for the removal of these projects… pic.twitter.com/J17Tf88yOR— G.O.A.T OUT NOW ?♈️? (@ItsPriddyUgly) November 26, 2019
We recorded EGYPT while I was signed to that other label, all on our own.
They never commissioned or payed ANY of the producers & session musicians involved, they were not involved in the record of the music, I payed for the album sleeve MYSELF (10K) & they don’t have any seps.— G.O.A.T OUT NOW ?♈️? (@ItsPriddyUgly) November 26, 2019
