SA rapper, Cassper Nyovest appears to be more observant than expected.
The rap star reveals that withing the past 2 days he’s been listening to radio, he’s heard more of American hip hop music instead of South African.
“Been listening to radio the past 2 days and there’s so much American hip hop on radio man. Like, how did we get back here ? Thought we made it over this hill. Isn’t there enough African hip hop out there?” he tweeted.
Most of his fans backed up his lament and he went further using the hashtag, “Play African Hip Hop or Die”.
Cassper tweeted more over the issue.
Blocking doors to the industry? How do you even do that as a rapper ? The music compilers and the record labels have that power. What is Cassper gonna do to stop anyones shine bathong? https://t.co/FFQ1QWtpZP
