SA singer, Simphiwe Dana has dropped a new album, Bamako, today, 24th of April.
The album has 13 songs and features the lead single Usikhonzile and Uzokhala.
Speaking about the album, she said: “I literally just realised the other day that Bamako is that break-up album. It’s got a lot of songs about breathing through the wound. It hurts, but I’m gonna be fine.”
When asked aboout the meaning of Bamako, Simphiwe said:
“Bamako is the capital city of Mali. Where I worked with Salif Keita. I was paying homage to it.”
