Few days ago, Actor Sipho Ngema was confirmed dead and supporters and lovers have poured tribute for the late star.
The actor who was known for his roles in Rhythm City and Uzalo reportedly died in a Johannesburg hospital on Tuesday night.
His daughter confirmed the news to TshishaLIVE, saying;
“He passed away [on Tuesday] night at 10.15pm at a hospital in Johannesburg. He suffered from pulmonary hypertension, which caused his heart to fail. The family is currently discussing details of his burial.”
Sipho was known for his role as Raymond on the e.tv soapie Rhythm City, and as Terror on Uzalo. He also played a drug boss in the Mzansi Magic miniseries Stash in 2013 and more recently was on e.tv’s Isipho.
In a statement to ThsishaLIVE, Rythym City also paid tribute to the actor.
Rhythm City‘s creative director Eric Itumeleng Mogale said:
“We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the Ngema family. May The Good Lord protect your beautiful hearts in these challenging times. We truly lost a friend, a fighter, and an artist.”
“I worked with Sipho for many years. I knew him when he was still doing props at Scandal in 2005 before he pursued his love for acting. He played a stint role in Rhythm City as Lerato Tselapedi’s boyfriend from Rustenburg. May your soul live on Mthi wam (Sipho Ngema).”
