My FAVOURITE designer globally is AFRICAN. Her name is @asandamadyibi πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ We attended the same art school as teenage girls where she studied textiles and I ceramics (pottery) She made my graduation dress in 2001 and has made my outfits since. She was head designer of Sun Goddess and I followed her there. When she decided to do it on her own I followed her then too. I love you WOMAN. This look I said β€˜I want to honour the Ndebele people for the finale! I want to look like a Ndebele Warrior.’ Nguni gave birth to four sons. Ndebele, Swati, Zulu and Xhosa to which the NGUNI people fall under and are named after the four sons born under himπŸ™πŸΎβ€οΈ CAMAGU

WHY WE CELEBRATE AFRICA DAY β€’ Africa day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) Although the Pan-African Congress had been working towards similar goals since its foundation in 1900, this was the first time such a meeting had taken place on African soil The conference showcased progress of liberation movements on the African continent in addition to symbolising the determination of the people of Africa to free themselves from foreign domination and exploitation. South Africa was the last country to join in 1994 after the end of Appartheid which is crazy when you think about it that a representative from SA (NDZ) became the chairperson years later of the newly named, African Union. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” With that history lesson, Happy Africa Day ✊🏾 … Let’s take pride in how far we’ve come as a continent and what we have managed to achieve against all odds . #AlutaContinua 🌍
