South Africans are over the moon once again with Sho Madjozi’s international nomination bagged.
The award-winning star was nominated for the Best International Act the second time in a row.
She might have won in 2019, but the chance of winning in 2020 is very thin.
Here are 8 reasons Sho Madjozi might not win this year:
1. Sho Madjozi is placed in same category with Nigerian singer, Burna Boy who’s bagged a Grammy nomination and other prestigious nods.
2. The SA star hasn’t made a huge move like she did last year with the song John Cena.
3. Sho is also placed in the same category with Stormzy, who is a British rapper and an international award winner. It is worthy to note that it was a dream come true for Sho featuring on Stormzy’s Own It remix.
4. Wow! She has another competition named Dave. He is also a British rapper and has bagged international awards.
5. Some of the artists she’s categorized with have been in the industry for years.
6. Sho Madjozi is popular in SA but doesn’t have a cult following like the other super stars in the category.
7. Burna Boy and Dave have Nigerian background, giving them a higher advantage over Sho due to Nigeria’s high population.
8. South African men aren’t found of supporting women; making Sho Madjozi more disadvantaged.
The following listed above are reasons your fave might bring home nothing but a nod.
