A fake pastor who raped a lady he met through social media has been arrested over the weekend by Klerksdorp detectives.
According to the police, the duo agreed to meet at a grocery store in Klerksdorp on 30th May. Afterwards, the man lured her to an open field where he robbed and sexually assaulted her at knife-point.
In Ventersdorp in November, another victim who also met up with the said suspect via social media reported the man used the same method of operation in attacking her.
He was arrested due to the rampant cases of gender-based violence and female murder.
However, police are trying to link him to other cases.
