SA veteran actress, Mary Twala will be laid to rest on Thursday morning, 9th of July, 2020.
Her son, Somizi Mhlongo confirmed the funeral details on Wednesday morning.
The funeral service to hold in Soweto, will be streamed Live on various social media platforms at 7;30am.
“Due to the current global pandemic of Covid-19, the funeral will adhere to the current national funeral restrictions of only 50 attendees allowed, together with the necessary health protocols being observed. No members of the public may attend the funeral,” the statement read issued by Kgadi Mothotse read.
Somizi revealed on Instagram, that his 79 year-old mother died at Netcare’s Parklane Hospital in Johannesburg on Saturday morning.
South Africans are moved by the legend’s passing on, as she’s had a big impact on people’s lives, including the industry.
