Kanye West gets more serious with his plans of running presidential race, which he announced this year.
During a recent interview with Forbes, the rapper declared he isn’t supporting Donald Trump, and vows to win the election.
However, he won’t be contesting under any popularly known party, but under the “Birthday Party” banner (“because when we win, it’s everybody’s birthday”).
Kanye says if he wins in 2020 or 2024, God is the one who appointed him.
“Let’s see if the appointing is at 2020 or if it’s 2024—because God appoints the president. If I win in 2020 then it was God’s appointment. If I win in 2024 then that was God’s appointment.”
The American star’s choice of running for presidency isn’t publicity stunt for his upcoming album, God’s Country. “I give my album away for free.”
