Pupils want to finish school year

Can the government of education save the academic year?

That’s the question many pupils, parents, and teachers are asking, as the government enforces yet another school closure.

Pupils now have to stay home for a month except for matrics, who will have a week’s break.

Pupils say they’re remaining positive about passing at the end of the year.

COVID-19 has almost destroyed the academic year.

One Grade 12 pupil, Sabelo Zulu from Snakepark in Soweto, said they need their teachers now more than ever.

He explained that:

This coronavirus has affected us as Grade 12 because we need more time with our teachers and we need more understanding from them. From my side, I can say that I need it, not knowing about others but I understand work more if the teacher has explained it to me.”
