A pregnant woman have been shot at in the stomach on Saturday night.
The woman is said to be in a critical condition in the hospital.
She was admitted to the hospital due to the gunshot injuries sustained.
The incident happened in Mpumalanga.
According to eyewitnesses, the pregnant woman was shot while she was cooking for her family.
Middelburg South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Captain, Khanysile Zwane said the police were called to the scene on Saturday night around 7pm.
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The gun used to perpetuate the incident was recovered next to the N4 where it was dumped.
The are expected to appear in the Middelburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
