“Am I not worthy of breathing freely” – Rouge to SA men

on

Rouge pens down an official letter to South African men following the murder of Wits University student named Kwasa.

On Tuesday, SA mourn and seek justice for Kwasa Zozo Lungalo, a 19 year old Wits student from Dutywa, Eastern Cape.

She was allegedly stabbed 3 times by her ex boyfriend, who has now committed suicide.

Being tired of such repeated heartbreaking cases, Rouge penned down her heart to South African men to stop the hideous deeds to women.

“I often wonder what we’ve done to you to deserve such indifference, such hatred. Am I not worthy of breathing freely, and not having to look over my shoulder everyday? To experience the same freedom you seem to have taken for granted everyday?”

I have addressed this letter to South Africa’s men, because the majority of my fan base are men. And as much as I appreciate your support. I have to speak to the source of your problem. Men have to step up and do something to stop this terrible violence against women, hashtags and slogans are simply not enough,” the rapper’s statement partly reads.

Meanwhile, Rouge announced dropping a new song on Friday, featuring Amanada Black, it’s titled, Senzinina.

She claims the new single will address horrible issues like the one narrated above.
