Body of man found on gravel road following gunshot sound

The Eastern Cape police have found the body of an unidentified man on a gravel road in Port Elizabeth.

The body was found during the day on Tuesday after the community members hinted the police.


According to Police spokesperson, Col Priscilla Naidu, the man is believed to be in his 20s.

The community members heard gunshot and when they got to the scene, the victim was already dead, lying on his stomach near Jack Street in Missionvale.

“The community heard several gunshots and later found the unknown male with a gunshot wound in his stomach.”

The police are yet to discover the reason for this accident and the circumstances behind it.

No arrest have been made so far.
