It is weekend and with Level 2 lockdown already in effect, South Africans will be spending this weekend as their first under Level 2 lockdown.
More smiles will be on the people as restrictions have been eased so as to allow more movement and different sectors to be reopened.
Mark Tomlinson, a Psychologist said despite regulations being a bit more relaxed, people should be more careful.
He said:
“We know from other countries around the world that there is a third surge, a third peak – its very likely it is going to happen here. Hospitals are not as full as they were. Infections are going down. People are going to without question become complacent. Now is exactly the time when you don’t want to become complacent.”
Moreover, permission have been granted to South Africans to move around the country for leisure.
Under Level 2 lockdown, gyms, bars, taverns, and shebeens cinemas, theatres, and concerts are also granted to kick-start operation.
