COVID-19: SA reports more coronavirus related deaths with only 1,846 new recorded cases

Over the past 24 hours, the number of COVID-19 infections and fatalities recorded daily in South Africa has decreased.

On Friday, the Health Ministry recorded 1,846 cases, which brings the total number of infected people to 533,935.


Currently, the death toll hits 13,743. This was recorded after 155 people died from contracting the virus.

However, the recovery rate keeps on rising and currently stands on 86%. This means that more than 533,000 people have now recovered from the virus.

As it stands now, South Africa has dropped below global ranking of coronavirus infections and now sits on the sixth position.
