According to Vaccinologist – Professor Shabir Madhi, he said it is common for people who tested positive for COVID-19 to become reinfected multiple times.
Madhi said this is as a result of general development of enough immunity to only yield mild symptoms or be totally asymptomatic. But he assured there nothing to worry about that.
“It is common for people to be reinfected, multiple times. The important thing is that after your first infection, you develop a good amount of immunity and even though you become re-exposed or reinfected, subsequent infections almost invariably going to be milder,” said Madhi.
Madhi concluded that it is crucial for people to remain adhered to lockdown regulations.
