COVID-19 in SA: 174 more deaths recorded as recovery rate advances to 88%

As it stands, the death count of patients who have succumbed to COVID-19 in South Africa is now a hundred and seventy-four.

This death toll brings the total number of coronavirus to 14,563 in the country.


In the past 24 hours, 2,420 new COVID-19 infections have come to light in South Africa.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 3 September was at 633,015.

On a positive note, the recovery rate keeps improving and currently stands on 88 percent with 554,887.

That interprets that over a million patients have recovered from the virus.
