Following incidents of violence that sparked at Clicks stores across South Africa, the government has condemned such act from the EFF.

Jackson Mthembu, minister in the Presidency said the government is not in support with the advert that portrayed black people’s hair as dry and damaged.

Mthembu also said the way to resolve such conflict is not by getting involved in lawless behaviour.

We remain committed to the values of democracy. Any form of discrimination or violation of human rights for whatever reason cannot be tolerated as it undermines the progress made in building a united democratic country,” Mthembu said in a statement.

Mthembu has beckoned on South Africans to desist from such acts of violence and from taking the law into their own hands.
