While reporting a case of domestic violence inside an Eastern Cape police station, a man shot and killed his 28-year old wife.
The shooting happened on Monday afternoon, right inside the Madeira police station in Mthatha.
It is believed that the 42-year old man who shot his wife, works as a security guard for a popular security company in Mthatha.
After the man shot his wife, he tried to escape but was caught and arrested by the police.
Thembinkosi Kinana from the police said the woman gave up the ghost immediately after the shot.
“Our preliminary investigation indicates that the deceased had gone to the police station to report domestic violence that took place and while she was reporting the case, the husband entered the station and without saying anything, he started shooting at the wife.”
