COVID-19 death toll in South Africa has exceeded the 15,000 mark.
In the past 24 hours, the Health Department recorded 115 more fatalities which brings the total number of confirmed coronavirus related deaths to 15,004.
Majority of the recorded deaths come from Limpopo and KwaZulu-Natal.
Moreover, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 639,362.
In the past 24 hours, more than 850 new infections have been reported by the Health Department.
However, the recovery rate has taken a step to 88.6 percent with a record of 566,555 patients who have recovered so far from the virus.
