Watch: Mbalula shares videos of Ramaphosa dancing

After encouraging South Africans to dance in order to celebrate “South African-ness”, transport minister, Fikile Mbalula decided to take to his social media handle to share videos of the president dancing.

On Wednesday, President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on the Covid-19 pandemic where he revealed that the nation is moving up to next level of the lockdown which signifies that a less strict regulations will be implemented.


He encouraged South Africans to join the dance challenge in commemoration of Heritage Day.

“There can be no better way to celebrate our South African-ness than to join the global phenomenon that is spreading across the world, and that is the Jerusalema dance challenge.” he said.

He admitted to being a fan of the song.

“Our performers have demonstrated to the world that we have good music and good dance and good moves,” he added.

Mbalula took to his twitter page to share two videos of the president dancing.

One was a video of the president dancing to Holly Rey’s hit song, “Deeper” during 2019 youth day event in Limpopo.

The second video showed the president together with KwaZulu-Natal premier Sihle Zikalala dancing during his presidential campaign.
