The police have arrested four suspects in Bedfordview on Thursday evening.
They were arrested in connection to high-end jewellery robberies outside hotel, apartments, and conference venue.
It is heard that the original members of the “Rolex gang” were apprehended, but the police has not confirmed it yet.
The Rolex gang are known to terrorise Johannesburg residents by carrying out several kinds of crimes.
A lengthy and thorough operation was carried out by the police at The Nicol.
The highly alerted police blocked the scene of the arrest.
However, the officers did not disclose any information but it is understood two vehicles and two firearms were seized.
One of the confiscated vehicles was used to target victims and another was hijacked earlier this month.
Two of the suspects were seen placed in the back of a police van, while the other two were restrained on the ground with their faces covered.
The suspects were expected to be taken to the Bedfordview police station.
