Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Defence is seeking for answers from Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula.
The committee has made an agreement with a request from DA to bring Mapisa-Nqakula forward, so as to make account for the use of an airforce jet by ANC.
The DA is willing to hear explanation on why she gave permission for the flight to Zimbabwe and whether Fikile Mbalula, Transport Minister had allowed the delegation permission to travel, during the lockdown.
The ANC is to reimburse the state for the amount spent on the flight and President Cyril Ramaphosa has chastised Mapisa-Nqakula.
