Thirty-eight more people have succumbed to the coronavirus in South Africa, which takes the number of fatalities to 16,976.
On Sunday, the Department of Health recorded new 1,573 new COVID-19 cases, which takes the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 681,289.
However, the recovery rate now stands at 90%, which translates that 614,781 people have recovered so far.
