Social media users have dragged out Khanyi Mbau following a post she made regarding “Brown Skin girl”.
Khanyi Mbau has stepped on the toes of many after she celebrated herself as a “brown skin girl” which made many to criticize her for her love of skin bleaching to “get rid” of her brownness.
However, she is not the only one that has been dragged out for making such statement.
Pearl Thusi was once in her shoes and tweeps did not take it likely with her also.
According to social media users, the song “brown skin girl” by Beyonce was to celebrate brown skinned women and not light skinned.
They felt if they wanted to make use of the word, they should make sure they are truly brown skinned.
The actress, who has publicly spoken about her love for skin bleaching/skin lightening, took to Twitter to share just how much she identified with Bey’s song.
Khanyi knew exactly what she was doing with that tweet and because she pre-empted the backlash, she said in the caption for all the naysayers to go argue with someone or something else.
She said: “This song is touched for me! To us brown skin girls world wide! I said what I said! Go argue with Jik please! Dankie Bey.”

According to Khanyi, her decision to bleach her skin or work on it has nothin g to do with her Africanness.
The star will NOT let all the criticism bring her down as she continues to claim “Brown” and as far as culture and identity are concerned, she is still who she is.
“Being black doesn’t mean you have to look black. Being black is a state of being, being black is a sense of spirit. Being black is how you think and how you see yourself. It doesn’t mean you need to look indigenous. Why are we living in a world that won’t let us explore and be who we want to be? Period.”
Khanyi still make sure she stands on her point but tweeps are yet to be convinced Bey had her in mind when she wrote the hit song.
