Court delay trial of Julius Malema, Mbuyiseni Ndlozi assault case

The court has adjourned the case against EFF leader – Julius Malema and MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi.


On Tuesday, Malema and Ndlozi came before the Randburg magistrate’s court, the duo are faced with charges of common assault.

Their case has been adjourned for trial till October 29 and 29.

Court proceedings got delayed due to the media requesting to tender an application for live streaming of the proceedings, and to be given permission to snap photographs and record the case.

Malema and Ndlozi are facing accusation of assaulting a police officer during the funeral of struggle stalwart Winnie Madikizela-Mandela in 2018.

A lot of EFF supporters clothed in party regalia were chanting songs outside the court, to show their support of their leaders.
