On Tuesday, the Senekal Magistrate’s Court heard that a State witness who declared that the killers of Brendin Horner had talked about assaulting a white farmer and had since received death threats.

On Tuesday morning, the investigating officer in the case, delivered an evidence in relation to the bail application of Sekwetje Mahlamba and Sekola Matlaletsa.

Earlier last month, the duo were put in handcuffs after Horner’s body was discovered tied to a fence on the farm, where he did his work in Paul Roux.

The murder of Horner sparked several racial tensions, which resulted to the small Free State town to be put into sharp focus.
