SAs self-proclaimed Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary appeared in court on Friday morning for their bail hearing.

Their supporters gathered outside the Pretoria Magistrates Court to show support.

The couple, leaders of the Enlightened Christian Gathering Church (ECG) are currently facing charges of fraud, money laundering, and contravention of the Prevention of Organised Crime Act  to the tune of R102 million.

The couple was arrested arrested earlier this week.

The “major one” supporters also gathered outside the court on Wednesday.

This morning, Bushiri’s supporters came out in their numbers to show support for their leader.

Some were seen with placards that read “there is nothing too hard for God”, some others held placards signifying that their leaders were wrongly accused: “Christians have been persecuted for far too long”.

They were also heard singing “there is no one like you our father” outside the court.
