Two teens survive Elsies River shooting

A shooting incident in Elsies River has left two 15-year-old boys wounded.


Fortunately for the teenagers, they survived the shooting which happened on their way to school.

The reason for the shooting is unknown.

According to the police, they were shot and wounded in Clarkes Estate.

Reports claim that the pair were on their way to school when a man opened fire.

The police’s Noloyiso Rwexana said, “Elsies River police are investigating two cases of attempted murder.”

“The circumstances are under investigation and there have been arrests.”

In another news, two reported missing 7-year-old children were found dead in a dam

They were found on Thursday evening by police divers who got the body from a dam between Old Faure Road and the N2 highway in Mfuleni, in the Western Cape.

Linathi Ntshonga and Miyolo Gwinta were declared missing a week ago in Khayelitsha. They were last seen a few kilometres away from the dam.

According to police spokesperson Brig. Novela Potelwa, the attention of Mfuleni police was called upon when clothing items were seen floating on the water.

A search was launched and the bodies were retrieved late in the evening.

The two families confirmed that the bodies were the 7-year-old missing boys,

Police have opened an inquest docket for investigation.
