Near-drowning incident leaves 4 children injured in Herolds Bay

On Wednesday, four children were rushed to the hospital after a near-drowning incident in Herolds Bay in the Southern Cape.

According to paramedics who responded to the incident, teachers were found administering first aid to two girls and two boys.


The children are between the ages of 10 and 14-years-old.

ER24 paramedics in a statement said:

“Medics assessed the two girls and two boys, aged between 10 and 14, and found that one had sustained moderate injuries while the three others had sustained minor injuries”.

“The children were treated and thereafter transported to George Provincial Hospital for further assessment. The details surrounding this incident are not yet known.”
