It’s been two weeks now since Agrizzi was detained, following his denial of bail by the Specialised Crimes Court

Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi would know on Friday if his latest attempt of securing a bail from the court is successful.

It’s been two weeks now since Agrizzi was detained, following his denial of bail by the Specialised Crimes Court.

The following day, he was transferred to a hospital and claimed the court didn’t consider his medical condition.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Investigating Directorate claimed Agrizzi lied in his previous bail affidavit last year.

He informed the court about he and his wife’s moveable assets, which was valued at R2.6 million when in the real sense it was valued at R35.6 million.

On Monday, Agrizzi’s lawyers mentioned that his doctors were not finding it easy to treat him due to being chained to a bed and said a lot of armed gangs were in his ward.

They said a bail should be handed to him due to his high risk of contracting coronavirus and his pre-existing chronic medical condition.

His lawyers said mentioned that it was unfair on the part of the court to deny him bail since he had no previous convictions and had cooperated with investigations and the state capture commission.
