South Africans are shocked after it was confirmed on Monday afternoon, 16th of November that Matric Mathematics Paper 2 got leaked.
The news was announced by Department of Basic Education (DBE), believing that the papers became available before it was written.
“The Department of Basic Education is investigating the matter to establish the extent of the leak. Early sources point to the confinement of the leakage to a few learners located in these two provinces,” DBE spokesperson Elijah Mhlanga said.
The 2 provinces are said to be Limpopo and Gauteng.
Deputy Minister for the Department of Basic Education Dr Reginah Mhaule took to Twitter, saying that the perpetrators of the ugly act will [be] dealt with harshly.
Investigation is said to have begun and whoever has any information as regards the leaked paper should contact DBE.
