Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca has been announced dead on Monday morning after he was involved in a car accident, which was reported to have occured in Umlazi.
The car was found on a grass verge just off the N2.
Rescue team couldn’t save Ngcongca, despite arrive the scene shortly after the crash occurred.
The ex-Bafana Bafana defender capped 53 times for South Africa, and was set to play for AmaZulu this season before the heartbreaking incident took place.
Tributes flood social media, while a lot of people are in shock and are exhausted with all the blow 2020 threw at faces.
Anele was 33-year-old when reported dead.
