Refilwe Modiselle has taken to her Twitter to voice out on how she feel about children with albinism.
According to her, she is ready to do whatever it takes to make sure that children with albinism get glasses.
She said that a child should not be denied the opportunity to learn due to poor eyesight and not getting help.
Refilwe is one celebrity that has always been an advocate for albinism to the extent that she has called out brands such as Dove as well as Khanyi Mbau for using people with albinism for their campaigns.
In her words, having albinism is just a skin condition and does not affect one’s capabilities.
Refilwe has requested for vision specialists, optometrists and brands that can partner with her to make sure that she can donate glasses to children who are living with albinism and can’t afford them.
She said: “I’m looking for a low vision specialist, optometrist or brand to partner up with to give spectacles when possible, to kids with albinism from disadvantaged situations who can’t afford these”.
“I pray a brand, optometrist, specialist or manufacturer hears me out because it cuts deep when I hear that there are kids with albinism struggling in school because of eyesight, with no help or affordibility for specs. One mustn’t have an education because you can’t see or read? No.”
Reacting to this, DJ Fresh offered to help by pledging five of glasses to five children.
