Somizi Mhlongo shuns Bheki Cele’s order on South Africans sleeping by 9pm on December 31st, which ought to be a day of celebration for crossing over into 2021.
In a video which has now gone viral, the minister of police said:
“There is no December 31st. There won’t be any hitting of tins here. By 9 o’clock everyone should be in bed. So it is important to note that for that to happen we [SAPS] need to monitor that.”

South Africans got angry at the man’s manner of ordering them, and he’s been dragged over the abuse of power.
Somizi also joined as he addressed the situation in a video shared on Instagram.
The multitalented star says the people are not his children, so, he has no right to dictate when people should sleep.
The radio star further revealed that he will be up till 1am in his apartment, and will stick to the preventive measures in other to curb the spread of COVID-19.
