The United State of America is set to join other nations on imposing travel ban on South Africa due to COVID-19.

The virus has caused a huge wreck in the country, as Mzansi has lost some special person due to the spread of the virus.

In December 2020, it was announced that SA has recorded 1 million cases, and of recent, the Minister of Health, Dr Zweli Mkhize revealed that the nation has recorded over 40 death cases caused by Coronavirus.

US will join France, Sweden and even Israel on banning South Africans into their countries.

News24 reported that a senior White House official confirmed that South Africa will be joining this list with Biden recently having clamped down on masks and quarantines for people entering the US.

This move is in reaction to a new strain of Covid-19 that is believed to have originated in SA and Britain.

On Sunday night, 24th of January, Dr Mkhize shared the latest update on SA COVID: “As of today, the total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases is 1 412 986 , the total number of deaths is 40 874 and the total number of recoveries is 1 230 520.”
