DJ Fresh and DJ Euphonik’s contract have been canceled immediately by Primedia according to the acting C.E.O of the media house.

Primedia Broadcasting on Wednesday, 10 February 2021 confirmed that they would terminate contracts following rape allegations made against the men back in January.

“The company has decided to release DJ Fresh and Euphonik from their contracts. Their last shows on 947 were aired on 15 and 10 January 2021 respectively,” said the statement.

A lady with the Twitter handle, Nampree revealed how the two DJs drugged and rapped her.

“@DJFreshSA & @euphonik will you ever acknowledge drugging me & further raping me? I was completed drugged I don’t whether you BOTH raped me or 1 of you did & you later laughed about it the next morning saying we (me & 3 girls) were so drunk we kept blacking out but nasidlwengula,” she said.

The statement reads:

10 February 2021, Johannesburg – Primedia Broadcasting can confirm that, after careful consideration of the events of the last few weeks, the company has decided to release DJ Fresh and Euphonik from their contracts. Their last shows on 947 were aired on 15th January and 10th January 2021 respectively.

“This decision does not reflect a view on the veracity of any allegations against either Euphonik or Fresh. Rather it prioritises Primedia Broadcasting’s business imperatives. We believe that this decision is in the best interest of our company and our various stakeholders,” says Geraint Crwys-Williams, Interim CEO of Primedia Broadcasting.

According to Primedia, it is the best decision for their business.

Earlier today DJ Fresh also released a statement in his Twitter account stating that he could find “no common ground” with his former employer.
