President Cyril Ramaphosa joins the first set of health care workers to receive COVID-19 vaccine.
“To demonstrate our confidence in this vaccine and help allay any fears that people may have, the Minister of Health and I will join the first health care workers to receive the vaccine in Khayelitsha.”
Few hours after the arrival of 80k doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine (which is a replacement of the less-effective Oxford-AstraZaneca), the new vaccines were distributed with immediate effect.
Cyril shared a photo of himself receiving the vaccine and a video of other persons receiving the vaccine has gone viral on social media.
