Bobby Shmurda has finally been released from prison.
The Brooklyn rapper revealed took to Instagram to share a clip of the opening scene of Christopher Walken’s, ‘King Of New York’, to announce his release.
This comes after Rowdy Rebel recently revealed that Shmurda was soon to be released, and it looks like he was right.
On December 18, 2014, New York City Police arrested Shmurda, and he was charged with conspiracy to murder, weapons possession, and reckless endangerment.
In 2016, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison, which was reduced to five years after receiving credit for the two years he already served awaiting trial.
On September 21, 2020, Shmurda was reportedly denied parole, meaning he will serve his full sentence and be released on December 11, 2021.
Well, it looks like luck was on his side as he will be out on Tuesday, February 23.
