Jo-Ann Strauss has taken to her social media to share her views and thoughts on South African nannies.

The star stated that she will like to propose a National Nanny Day in the country.

She went ahead to claim that South African economy depends heavily on these incredible women who look after their kids when they are at work and who make sure that they look like we have our things together.

“let’s be honest, the South African economy depends heavily on these incredible women who look after our kids when we are at work and who make sure that we look like we have our things together.”

Jo-Ann made it clear she will like the country to start as soon as possible to honour the domestic nannies who often have to leave their own families to help us raise ours.

“I’d like to propose that we start a National Nanny Day (does that exist?) or a day on which we honour the domestic nannies who often have to leave their own families to help us raise ours,” she said.

The model suggested that the day can be a Friday before Mothers’ day to celebrate them.

Jo-Ann concluded by asking her followers to share why their nanny is so special and she will be gifting R1000 into her account as a gift on Friday.

“Mothers’ Day also works as often these women are the co-mothers, but maybe the Friday before Mothers’ should be Nanny Day. Anyone with me? Please share why your nanny is so special and I’d like to pay R1000 into her account as a gift on Friday,” Jo-Ann concluded.
