Betty Mashiloane miraculously beat COVID-19 at the age of 100, and family members express gratitude to God.
It was revealed that she was admitted to Tshwane District Hospital for over two weeks suffering from Covid-19.
According to Daily Sun, the gogo from Soshanguve, Tshwane, was in hospital from 1 May and discharged on 20 May.
Her daughter Emmah Mashiloane-Ncongwane (57) is full of joy for the miracle, as it’s generally known that old people hardly survive the virus.
“We didn’t expect she’d make it. We’re happy God answered our prayers and spared her life,” she said.
“She’s recovering well, even though she’s still weak but she’s getting stronger every day. She’s eating well and can easily move from the bedroom to the dinning room.”
She also said the family is planning to celebrate her birthday on the 6th of June.
