Priddy Ugly rants on social media over the survival of SA hip hop following the successful release of his album.
The album was received by South Africans, and some persons hyped him for keeping the genre alive, seeing how most musicians are into Amapiano.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Priddy says the culture needs more hip hop brand like Cassper Nyovest.
“WE NEED MORE HIP HOP BRANDS LIKE CASSPER. KASI KIDS NEED BETTER ROLE MODELS. CLEAN, HARDWORKING, ABOUT THE BUSINESS & FAMILY!”he explains.
The rapper also stated that more of AKA, K.O, Riky Rick, HHP, Sjava and many others rap stars are needed to keep the genre at the top.
“WE PEEP THATS THERES A PANDEMIC & THAT HIP HOP IS NOT THE MOST POPULAR GENRE, BUT DROP SOME MORE HIP HOP! I KNOW YOU WAITING FOR THE RIGHT TIME, PLAN – YES! BUT DROP – BUT DROP FIRE!!!! THEN, DJs – PLAY THE FIRE!! SUPPORTERS, LISTEN TO THE FIRE!! MEDIA – TALK ABOUT THE FIRE!” he added.
