Its the end road for Pearl Thusi as Nomalanga Shozi replaces her as the new host of BET’s Behind The Story.
The star has been the host for 4years now and the new season will start in October.
Pearl Thusi joined Behind The Story in 2018 and she has hosted the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Enhle Mbali, Dineo Ranaka and DJ Zinhle.
After four seasons and a bit of controversy, Pearl Thusi is saying goodbye to the show and she’s making way for actress Nomalanga Shozi.
The news was made known by Entertainment commentator Phil Phela revealing Nomalanga will be the host for season 5 from October
“Season 5 of Behind The Story starts in October with Nomalanga Shozi as the new host,” Phil tweeted.

He also applauded the channel for its efforts to elevate Nomalanga’s career all these years.
“Gotta commend BET for sticking with Nomalanga Shozi. Viacom or whoever handles talent at BET Africa has put their full support behind her. Shem, they plug the lady. She was even on Isono. She does all BET events coverage, etc. Reminds me of what SABC1 used to do for its talent”
Sharing the exciting news on her social media platforms, Nomalanga said she is where she is today because of hard work.
“You’ll know my story in due time. For now, just know it wasn’t easy and I worked. Hard,” she tweeted.
