Christmas is in full swing. In a month, we would be singing jingle bells and enjoying the festive season.
Although most South Africans have not imbibed this tradition of giving gifts at Christmas, gift-giving increases the Christmas cheer.
In case you are out of gift ideas, these are some you should consider;
1. Electrical appliances, kitchen appliances or household gadgets
A new phone, toaster, a new blender, an air conditioning unit, a generator, a rechargeable fan or an electronic gas cooker considering gas prices are good gifting ideas.
The list of appliances you can get for them is endless, and it would be appreciated especially if they do not have it already.
2. Jewellery
When in doubt, get jewellery. Women can never have enough jewellery. A necklace with a beautiful pendant, a wristwatch, a bracelet or earrings is perfect.
Some men also wear jewellery. You can buy chains, watches and rings, so do not think this is just for one gender.
3. Clothes, shoes and bags
Everyone needs new clothes no matter how rich they are. The important thing is to get your loved ones what they like and will appreciate.
The best way to find out is to ask them what they would have, they have probably been saving screenshots all year. The next best way is to observe what they like.
4. Food hampers
Everyone loves a good food hamper and it is one of the easiest things to get for a loved one.
Get a good deal on a hamper with snacks they will be eating out of for months.
5. Get what a person needs
Knowing what a person needs is not too difficult if you have a close relationship with them and if you do not know, ask. I promise it would not diminish the thoughtfulness of the gift.
Perhaps they have been complaining about something or you notice that they lack an essential item or maybe it is something they fancy like a new game that they do not have already. Getting it for them would elicit much love and appreciation.
