DJ Hlo slams negativity oozed at her after Ukhozi FM announced her song, Isibani as the Song of the Year 2021.
The announcement caused chaos on social media, as people assumed that the radio station was being partial.
Speaking to Daily Sun team, the DJ said the win changed her life for good and she’s been offered more gigs.
“My life has suddenly changed. I’m getting bookings from all over the country. I’ve also received offers from big artists who want to collaborate with me.”
Isibani featuring DJ Manzo SA and Siboniso won with 214,966 votes.
The 24-year-old said some of the critics were celebrities who were talking to her before the winner was announced, and she knows them.
“In the last week of the competition, there were strong indications that I would win. I’d opened a huge gap between myself and my rivals.”
“In my opinion the process was fair and transparent. The process was simply to get more votes and I did exactly that. I’m not apologetic about my work,” said DJ Hlo.
